Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective

This policy explains what personal data Plusvisa Inc. ("Plusvisa", "we", "us") collects when you use plusvisa.com and apply for a visa through us, why we need it, who else handles it, and the choices you have. It applies to every traveller we apply for, including people you apply on behalf of.

Questions or requests about your data: [email protected].

1. Who we are

Plusvisa is an independent online visa application service operated by Plusvisa Inc., a Delaware C Corporation, registered at 169 Madison Avenue, STE 82188, New York, NY 10016, USA. We are not a government body and are not affiliated with any embassy, consulate or immigration authority. For the personal data described here, Plusvisa Inc. is the controller: we decide why and how it is used.

2. What we collect

Account details. Your name, email address, phone number and a password, which we store only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and an account identifier from that provider; we never see your password there.

Application details. What the destination's application form asks for, for each traveller: typically full name, date and place of birth, nationality, passport number and dates, home address, contact details, travel dates and itinerary, occupation and any other answers the form requires. Form answers are stored encrypted.

Documents. The files you upload, such as a passport scan, a photo, bookings or supporting letters. Each time a document is opened we log the time, IP address and browser, so access can be audited.

Payment details. Card and wallet payments are handled by our payment providers (see section 5). We receive the amount, currency, status and a payment reference, never your full card number.

Usage data. Your IP address, approximate country, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you use them. See section 7 for cookies and analytics.

Messages. What you write to us by email or live chat.

If you apply for someone else, such as a family member, you confirm that you are allowed to share their data with us and that they know about this policy. Applications for children must be made by a parent or legal guardian.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Automated checks

To catch problems before an authority sees them, we use AI models to:

  • read a passport scan and fill in your passport details for you to review. The image is sent to the model once and is not stored by this step;
  • check a photo against the destination's photo rules (background, framing, lighting). The check describes the image; it does not identify who is in it.

These checks only suggest fixes. They never decide your visa: the decision is always the destination authority's. You can review and correct anything filled in for you.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the parties needed to provide the service:

  • The destination's government or its official visa portal, which receives the application you asked us to submit. Once submitted, their own privacy rules apply.
  • Payment providers: Stripe and PayPal process payments and refunds.
  • AI model providers that power the checks in section 4, accessed through our own gateway.
  • Hosting, storage and network providers that run our servers, store files and protect the site (including Cloudflare).
  • Analytics and support tools: Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager), Microsoft Clarity and Yandex Metrica for site analytics, and tawk.to for live chat.
  • Our partner offices in the Plusvisa network, where a local office helps process your application.
  • Authorities or advisers when the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Each provider may only use the data to provide its service to us.

6. International transfers

Plusvisa is based in the United States, our providers operate in several countries, and your application necessarily goes to the destination country. Where data leaves the UK or EU/EEA, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, or the transfer is necessary to perform the contract you asked for (submitting your application abroad).

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We also store an unfinished application draft in your browser so you do not lose your progress.

In the UK and EU/EEA we ask before running analytics, and you can decline. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser at any time; the site needs the first two cookies above to sign you in and save your application.

8. How long we keep it

  • Unfinished applications left idle for 14 days are closed, and their uploaded documents are deleted.
  • Rejected or replaced uploads are deleted within 24 hours.
  • Completed applications and payment records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, deal with questions, refunds or disputes, and meet tax and accounting obligations.
  • Your account stays until you ask us to delete it.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Security

Form answers are encrypted at rest, files are served only through short-lived signed links, passwords are hashed, document access is logged, and the site is served only over HTTPS. No system is completely secure, so please tell us at once at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • have your data deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was done before.

To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will reply within one month. We may need to keep some data to meet legal obligations, and we cannot recall an application that has already been submitted to an authority.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

Plusvisa is not meant for anyone under 18 to use alone. We process a child's data only when a parent or legal guardian applies for them.

12. Your US state privacy rights

If you live in a US state with its own privacy law, such as California, you have the rights in section 10, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

13. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we publish the new version here with a new version number and effective date. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
